It also retains a LOT of heat. At the time I purchased this unit, I also purchased one from Sam's Club. The Sam's Club topper is far superior for the same price.
This topper is yellow, like its five years old, instead of the white that new visco elastic usually is. It had a VERY strong smell which is sometimes to be expected but this was over the top. Instead of dissipating in 24 hours, I had to air it for four days. Even now, weeks later, it still has some "gasoline" odor.
What you see in the photo (with the hand) is definitely NOT what you will be getting.
